Adonis
Meet Adonis! This sweet 5 year old boy is a big lover and goofball. He loves to cuddle on the couch and play with his doggie friends. Adonis gets along with all dogs but is not approved for houses with free range chickens and cats. Adonis gets along with children great as well, and isn’t a big jumper so is safe for younger children. Adonis loves to go on walks and isn’t a high energy dog. He doesn’t need mile long walks everyday, he would prefer to live in the suburbs or farm life, where he doesn’t have to worry about the hustle and bustle of city life. Adonis does best when he is properly introduced to his new dog friends, like taking a nice relaxed walk together before returning home for a playdate. Once he realizes you are his new dog friend the game is on! He loves to play, and run around, and he LOVES little dogs. Adonis spent a month to help him work on some of his manners, and this cute boy knows so much now! All his training comes included, along with lifelong followup sessions with the trainer virtually or in person. Mister Adonis doesn’t have any teeth, he was like that when he was found in the streets of La Paz, but that doesn’t slow him down from scarfing down a big bowl of food or nibbling on his favorite bones. Adonis is ready for his forever family, who has experience owning dogs prior to him and also can be his pack leader. He is the perfect candidate to join any pack, and has meshed well with all the dogs he has met thus far. Adonis cannot wait to crawl into bed with you every night and cuddle you, or curl up at your feet while you enjoy your favorite show. This sweet boy is truly just a sweet lover, and is currently being fostered in Portland, Oregon.

Our Vetting policy
Puppies (under 1 year of age) have received a veterinarian exam prior to departing, rabies vaccination (if over 4 months old), up to 3 rounds of DHLPP (dependent on age), Bordetella (kennel cough), deworming, flea/tick preventative, heart worm test and sterilization. Any further medical care or treatment will not be covered by The Rawley Project. Once you take physical possession of the animal the responsibility lies with you. We highly recommend you take you new pet to a veterinarian for a fecal test as parasites are very common in shelter environments and while they are treated before departure, they may need additional rounds of medication.
Adults (1 year and older) are up to date on rabies and DHPP vaccinations and accompany their most recent medical records from a veterinarian. All known issues are disclosed to the best of our ability. Once you take physical possession of the animal the responsibility lies with you.
Our Rehoming Policy
While we expect you to enter into any adoption with the intention to commit to being that pets forever home, if you should determine, after significant efforts have been made on your part, that an animal you adopt from The Rawley Project is not the right fit for your home you may list your pet on our site for free until you identify a suitable placement. We do not have a physical shelter and cannot physically take your animal into our care. You will need to find an appropriate solution to safely and humanely continue care for the animal while looking for a new owner.
